Naulila Swimwear was born from a dream, but also from a journey of discovery. I have always been fascinated by the world of fashion, but it was in 2021, during my A-levels in Fashion and Textiles, that this passion took shape. For my final project, I decided to create a swimsuit, a simple piece, yet one that carried within it the entire process of research, design, and experimentation. I spent hours in front of the sewing machine, printing patterns on fabrics, testing colors and textures. It was an almost therapeutic process, where I found myself among threads, needles, and fabrics.
In the beginning, my creations were maximalist, full of details and layering. The concept of minimalism was unknown to me, but over time, I learned to balance both worlds. More than that, I realized that true art is not about perfection, but about the freedom to create without limits. Fashion, like art, is born from expression, from mistakes, from trials and successes. And it was this understanding that gave rise to Naulila Swimwear, a brand that reflects this duality between minimalism and maximalism, offering pieces that tell stories and allow each woman to express herself in her own way.
Even so, after my A-levels, I abandoned the idea of creating my own brand. At the time, I lacked the maturity and initiative to turn that dream into reality. I went to university with the goal of studying International Relations, believing that was the right path for me. However, the idea of working in fashion never left my mind.
Then, at the last moment, I made one of the most transformative decisions of my life: I changed my course and university, choosing to study Business and Luxury Brand Management, a choice that, at first, was merely my last option but ultimately proved to be the right path. Throughout my studies, I deepened my knowledge of the luxury brand industry, understood the complexities of the sector, and developed the business skills necessary to finally bring my project to life. What was once just a dream began to take shape until it became a reality.
